At the Air Training Corps National Drill competition held at RAF Halton on Saturday 19 November 2016, Warrant Officer Bonhomme of 1563 (Buckingham) Squadron was presented with the Cadet Forces Medal.

The Medal was presented by Air Vice-Marshal Turner CBE MA MSc BA FRAeS FCMI RAF, Air Officer Commanding No 22 Group, Royal Air Force.
The medal is awarded for 12 years uniformed service in one of the Cadet forces. Warrant Officer (ATC) Bonhomme’s citation commented not only on his excellent work for his Squadron but also his work supporting both neighbouring Squadrons and the wider elements of the ATC.
Warrant Officer (ATC) Bonhomme started his voluntary service over 20 years ago as a civilian instructor before transferring to uniformed service. During this period, he has assisted in the development of thousands of young people.
Upon receiving the medal, Warrant Officer (ATC) Bonhomme commented that the award recognised the work that he so enjoyed.
